WUPPERTAL, Germany — Nov. 17, 2022 — As part of a reorganization of its marketing department, Riedel Communications today announced the promotions of Paul Rivens and Graham Taylor to the positions of product marketing manager and regional sales director for the U.K., respectively. In their new roles, Rivens will be responsible for developing and implementing product-line-specific marketing strategies for the company’s intercom and audio solutions, while Taylor will oversee operations for Riedel’s sales business in the U.K.
A broadcast professional with over 40 years of sales experience in the international marketplace, Rivens joined Riedel in 2005 as business development director and has since held the positions of general manager for the U.K. and, most recently, regional sales director for the U.K. and Ireland. He came to Riedel from sales management roles at Telex Communications and Philip Drake Electronics.
“I’m thrilled to be undertaking a new challenge at Riedel and am grateful for the opportunity,” said Rivens. “I’m looking forward to leveraging my experience and industry knowledge to develop successful campaign strategies for a rapidly diversifying product lineup and working closely with the marketing team to regionalize them.”
Taylor brings 26 years of sales management experience in the broadcast sector to his new role at Riedel. He joined the company in 2015 as U.K. broadcast sales manager. In this position, he was responsible for half the Riedel U.K. revenue and helped double the U.K. market in his seven-year tenure. With his extensive computer networking and broadcast technology knowledge, Taylor has been a major contributor to Riedel’s success in the video market and has guided numerous high-profile customers on their way to an IP future. He came to Riedel from Wohler Technologies, where he held the role of EMEA sales director. Previously, at Boxer Systems, he served as sales manager for the Test and Measurement Division.
“With the recent restructuring of our organization and a range of revolutionary IP video solutions on the horizon, it’s a momentous time at Riedel,” said Taylor. “I couldn’t be more excited to be starting my next chapter with the company and can’t wait to bring our latest solutions to our U.K. customers.”
“I’d like to congratulate both Paul and Graham on their well-deserved promotions,” said Jens Miedek, Executive Director Global Sales at Riedel Communications. “As regional sales director, Paul turned our U.K. business into a cornerstone of our success in the EMEA. With his deep knowledge of our products and their applications, he is the perfect fit to boost our reorganized marketing team as product marketing manager. And, after working with Graham for the past seven years, he was certainly my first choice to take over for Paul in the U.K. With our recent acquisitions, he is taking the helm at a very exciting time for Riedel, and I wish him every success in his new role.”
