Shure and Barco collaborate to improve video conferencing after research shows employee dissatisfaction with audio

With 80% of surveyed employees frustrated by their audio, the two companies have "seamlessly" paired the Shure Audio Ecosystem with Barco ClickShare Conference to "ensure customers achieve a revolutionary workplace experience"

Barco and Shure are collaborating after research from both companies indicated that while over 50% of employees prefer to host video calls from their laptop, rather than in-room systems, 96% are frustrated with their virtual meetings, with audio the main bugbear frustrating 80% of them.

Barco ClickShare’s Hybrid Working Research Study shows workers predicting a rise in hybrid meetings (meetings featuring both in-person and remote attendees) in the next 12 months. More than half of employees surveyed prefer to host video calls from their laptop, compared to an in-room system (19%) or their smartphone (18%). And Shure’s recent State of Meetings Report states that 96% of professionals are frustrated with their virtual meetings, with 4 out of the top 5 frustrations related to audio.

Following the research, to improve the video conferencing experience the two companies have announced that Shure’s Audio Ecosystem now pairs seamlessly with Barco ClickShare Conference, allowing customers to combine high-quality audio for remote communication with easy-to-use wireless in any meeting space. This partnership, says the companies will “help ensure customers achieve a revolutionary workplace experience”.
