SipRadius builds in security and performance for IP connectivity

Stand 5.H27, IBC2025, Amsterdam, 12–15 September 2025: SipRadius, the expert in secure, low latency media transport, will showcase how broadcasters and media companies can take control of fragmented IP workflows at IBC2025 (stand 5.H27, RAI Amsterdam, 12–15 September). Its unified platform replaces loosely connected tools with an integrated environment for encoding, timing, routing and encryption, purpose-built to support live media at scale.

CoralOS, the custom operating system developed to simplify and secure real-time broadcast operations, runs across all SipRadius solutions. By avoiding reliance on general-purpose operating systems, it provides a consistent and controlled foundation that closes security gaps, reduces overhead, and streamlines system management.

“Too often, IP systems are built from separate components with different operating systems, different update cycles, and different vulnerabilities,” said Sergio Ammirata Ph.D., founder and chief scientist at SipRadius. “CoralOS allows us to unify the stack and harden the platform at every level, from signal processing to user access.”

“Linux, Windows and macOS are built to support everything from spreadsheets to video games,” Ammirata added. “That flexibility comes with overhead and risk. CoralOS is purpose-built for real-time broadcast, so there’s nothing extra to expose or maintain.”

SipRadius supports open standards such as RIST and provides complete deployment flexibility, whether on-prem, in the public cloud, or as a self-hosted private cloud. The platform integrates cleanly across production and distribution, helping teams deploy faster, maintain consistency across workflows, and adapt to changing network conditions without adding complexity.

The same system-wide architecture can also be used to build and operate a private cloud, giving users full control over security while retaining the flexibility and scalability of virtualized infrastructure.

“Our clients include some of the biggest names in the media world, and we are carrying thousands of streams for them,” Ammirata said. “We invite IBC visitors to see for themselves the flexibility we can bring to contribution, backhaul and distribution challenges.”
