Waukegan, Ill. – August 26, 2026 – SurgeX, a brand of AMETEK Power Quality Solutions and a leader in power protection, power conditioning, diagnostic intelligence and remote monitoring solutions for the AV market, will showcase its latest investments in power management and integrator support at CEDIA Expo 2026 in Booth #1308. Headlining the company’s presence is the refreshed SurgeX CONNECT cloud platform, which gives integrators a more intuitive way to monitor power conditions and device health across individual sites, multiple projects and entire regions.
SurgeX will also showcase PowerVar FortaGrid, a scalable three-phase rackmount UPS platform for edge and distributed IT applications, alongside recent enhancements designed to make it easier for dealers to do business with SurgeX. Together, the updates reflect the company’s focus on helping integrators move beyond power protection alone to gain greater visibility, address issues proactively and support connected systems throughout their lifecycle.
SurgeX CONNECT Brings Power Management Into Focus
The refreshed SurgeX CONNECT experience organizes supported devices around the locations and projects integrators manage, rather than requiring users to view every connected device at once.
New Site View and Map View capabilities make it easier to understand system health at a glance. Site View lets integrators review devices within a specific installation, including overall device health, connectivity and available power metrics. Map View adds geographic context across multiple locations, helping users quickly determine whether a problem appears isolated to an individual property or may be part of a broader regional power issue.
A dedicated Device View also allows users to search, sort and filter connected equipment, while alerts and notifications help integrators track device activity and identify conditions requiring attention. Remote device control and real-time power analytics give dealers additional tools for monitoring and managing systems without immediately dispatching a technician.
SurgeX CONNECT also introduces enhanced user administration through customizable groups. Administrators can assign users to groups that automatically inherit defined permissions and access to specific equipment, simplifying management across teams, customers and projects.
The platform is compatible with SQUID, UPS Standalone and PROTECT + CONNECT products, providing a consistent cloud experience across supported SurgeX devices while maintaining integrations with major control platforms.
For integrators, that visibility can turn power management into more than a troubleshooting tool. By seeing system health remotely and identifying potential issues before a customer calls, dealers can provide more proactive support, arrive at service calls with better information and potentially incorporate ongoing power monitoring into recurring service offerings.
“Our focus is making power easier for integrators to manage before, during and long after an installation,” said Chad Russell, Director of Sales, Residential – North America, SurgeX. “Whether that means seeing the health of an entire project through SurgeX CONNECT, scaling backup power for a more demanding installation or simply getting an accurate price and tracking an order more easily, these improvements are all designed around helping our partners work more efficiently and provide better service to their customers.”
FortaGrid Brings Scalable Three-Phase Backup Into the Rack
CEDIA Expo attendees will also get a look at PowerVar FortaGrid™, a three-phase rackmount UPS designed to deliver data center-grade power protection for edge computing, micro data centers and distributed IT environments.
FortaGrid supports 5–40 kVA configurations and is available in 208/220V and 380/400/415V versions, giving users a standardized platform that can scale as system requirements grow. Its rack-integrated 19-inch design brings three-phase backup power directly into existing rack environments, helping maximize power density while simplifying installation, retrofit and expansion.
The platform uses true online double-conversion technology to provide clean, consistent power for sensitive equipment and is designed to maintain performance through abnormal load conditions. Precision voltage regulation helps protect connected equipment from power disturbances including sags, surges and harmonics.
For integrators serving increasingly sophisticated luxury residential and light-commercial environments, FortaGrid expands the range of higher-power applications that can be supported as racks, computing resources and connected systems become more demanding.
FortaGrid is currently available for pre-order, with shipments expected to begin in Q4 2026, and includes a four-year warranty.
SurgeX Invests in the Complete Dealer Experience
SurgeX is pairing its technology updates with improvements to the way dealers interact with the company.
A new online ordering portal, developed in direct response to customer requests, gives dealers access to accurate pricing while streamlining order submission and providing real-time order and tracking updates. The goal is to reduce administrative friction and make it easier for partners to get the information they need throughout the purchasing process.
SurgeX has also updated its customer feedback process to capture input more quickly and provide the company with real-time visibility into opportunities to improve service and support.
Those investments extend to the show floor. CEDIA Expo 2026 will mark the debut of a completely redesigned SurgeX booth centered around the company’s Protect, Backup and Justify approach to power management. The booth will include two dedicated SurgeX CONNECT demonstration stations, giving attendees an opportunity to explore the refreshed platform and see how its site, map and device views can help simplify ongoing power management.
CEDIA Expo attendees can visit SurgeX in Booth #1308 to experience SurgeX CONNECT, explore the latest power protection and backup solutions, and learn how greater power visibility can support more proactive and efficient service throughout the life of an installation.
With a nearly three-decade commitment to continuous innovation, SurgeX continuously evolves its product line to suit the newest demands of AV integrators and their customers. To learn more about AMETEK SurgeX, visit www.surgex.com.
