Waves Ships WRC-1 WiFi Stage Router

The Waves WRC-1 WiFi Stage Router, intended specifically for use in pro-audio applications, has shipped.

Knoxville, TN (August 12, 2020)—Waves Audio has shipped its new Waves WRC-1 WiFi Stage Router. The unit is intended specifically for use in pro-audio applications such as on-stage IEM control; remote control of audio consoles and PA equipment in venues, stage productions, houses of worship; and more.

The WRC-1 provides WiFi connectivity for use in live settings, as well as for use in corporate, educational and other facilities as a DLNA player for simplified audio playback. To meet the needs of  live audio and AV environments, the WRC-1 offers unique benefits that go beyond standard router features, such as a 19” 1U rack-mountable design, made specifically for audio equipment racks; a gig-ready industrial build; and strong RF distribution.

The Waves WRC-1 comes with basic router management software to control common features, but a further set of router configuration features is accessible by installing a free advanced firmware package.

The router features simultaneous dual-band operation (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz); five 10/100/1000 (1 WAN and 4 LAN) Gigabit Ethernet ports; a pair of lockable RJ45 ports and three standard RJ45 ports; a DLNA player with balanced analog outputs (XLR L/R); and integrated USB3 hub with charging for mobile devices; and an internal universal power supply.
