Yamaha desks get Neutrik NA2-IO-DPRO control

Neutrik NA2-IO-DPRO mic preamp control can now be added to Yamaha CL/QL Series live mixing consoles.

Charlotte, NC (December 9, 2020)—New options to remote control Neutrik NA2-IO-DPRO Dangte network devices have been released, aiding users that want to employ the new device’s microphone pre amps in a live-sound setting with certain Yamaha mixing consoles.

With the recent released of its CL/QL Firmware V5.6, Yamaha has added specific support for Neutrik’s NA2-IO-DPRO DANTE network device. The I/O device is intended for use in a network setup for Line, MIC and AES signals. Using the DPRO device on a truss, for example, would be a simple way to set up ambient miking with short cable runs, and then remote control it via a Yamaha CL/QL console.

“There’s no doubt that the future within the Pro AV market is based on interoperability between different devices within an application,” said Florian Frick, product manager for Neutrik AG. “We have found the perfect partner with Yamaha to enable this feature for better ease of use and excited customer experience.”

“Yamaha is delighted to have been able to integrate control of the NA2-IO-DPRO into the CL/QL series with the release of our V5.6 firmware,” said Motome Tanaka, Yamaha manager, Marketing and Sales Group. “This collaboration further extends the options for CL/QL systems. In combination with the R series, customers can make their systems even more flexible.”
