Flush-mount discussion unit

An addition to the DDS 5900 Digital Discussion System, the Shure DC 5900 F flush-mounted discussion unit offers a compact size and modular design, providing numerous configuration options for permanently installed discussion systems. The base unit connects to the front plate and features two DCS-LAN sockets and an audio connector for the loudspeaker. The front plate is available with or without language selection. The entire unit installs easily in the table surface with cabling hidden below for a clutter-free look. The unit is configured automatically as a chairman or delegate, according to the attached button overlay. There are several overlay variations available including speak, mute, volume, channel selector, delegate off (chairman only), or no buttons. Setup is plug-and-play using a daisy-chain topology and standard shielded Cat-5e cables. It’s also compatible with both GM-series and select Microflex gooseneck microphones. The optional LS 5900 F loudspeaker module provides sound reinforcement of the microphones in the system and external audio sources such as a presenter’s wireless microphone or audio from a videoconferencing system. Button overlays, loudspeaker, and microphones are sold separately.
