Crestron Expands Training, Opens in Vegas
Crestron expanded its training program for lighting designers and specifiers with a new lighting designer class.
Crestron expanded its training program for lighting designers and specifiers with a new lighting designer class. The class introduces architects and lighting designers to technologies such as Web control and touch panels. The company also announces the opening its new Crestron Experience Center in Las Vegas during InfoComm AV Week.
The two-day lighting course offers a combination of practical application reviews and hands-on training to teach how to streamline systems and optimize system performance, according to the company. Crestron expects specifiers will learn to leverage the benefits of an integrated solution using the full range of hardware and software solutions. Crestron offers the program every month.
According to the company, the goal of the lighting specifier program is to provide a mix of education, inspiration, and entertainment. The new courses take place at Crestron’s headquarters in Rockleigh, N.J., in its newly redesigned training facility. Crestron said it invested more than $200,000 to renovate the training and meeting spaces into modern, interactive environments with working systems that feature touch panels and keypads. A range of control modules and interfaces stand are displayed on plexi-glass and chrome to provide lighting designers with a stylish, hands-on, view of Crestron control systems.
“Through this training, we are offering designers, specifiers, and architects a unique look of complete, integrated solutions that go well beyond traditional lighting control,” said Bill Schafer, Crestron director of channel development, in a statement. “Anyone who qualifies will want to take advantage of this opportunity to expand their knowledge base and prepare for the future.”
Additionally, Crestron will open its Las Vegas Experience Center to help promote and raise awareness of the latest technology available to trade partners and end users. The Center is located two blocks from the Strip on Howard Hughes Parkway. The new 5,000-square-foot facility officially opens today, expanding the Crestron Las Vegas organization and its commitment to the local market and the AV industry.
