Audio amplifiers

Crown Audio's CDi-1000 and CDi-2000 installation amplifiers are targeted for use in installed sound applications. The CDi-1000 provides 500 W per channel at 4 ohms, while the CDi-2000 produces 700 W per channel at 4 ohms. Targeted for sound treatment in theaters, houses of worship, and educational facilities, the QuadraPyramid diffuser panel from Acoustics First consists of four pyramids that create 16 angles of reflection. The diffuser is designed to be directly mounted to a wall or ceiling or dropped into a T-bar grid. When wall-mounted, the diffuser can be configured as a mid-bass absorber in the 125 Hz to 315 Hz range. Digital signage player

Targeted for use in high-end digital signage applications, the Aavelin AV400P digital signage player from MagicBox supports resolutions up to 1376x768 (landscape) and 768x1376 (portrait). The device includes one 15-pin RGB D-sub output, one 1/8-inch stereo output, three RCA inputs, one S-video input, and two 1/8-inch stereo inputs. It enables playback of Flash, MPEG (with optional Adtec player), and analog video sources, as well as Flash and analog audio sources. MediaMatrix has introduced the NION nX programmable digital audio processing node for professional and commercial audio and communications applications. The device's internal processing core is based on three Analog Device floating-point SHARC digital signal processors. The node has two module bays that support up to 16 simultaneous analog audio channels, as well as an integrated CobraNet port that provides 32 or 64 additional channels. Targeted for onsite fiber network testing, the Communications Specialties' Fiberlink Visible Light Source 6610, Optical Power Meter 6615, and Three Wavelength Light Source 6620 fiber optic testing devices are designed to check for breaks in fiber and verify that loss budgets have been met. The 6610 provides a visible 650 nm laser output, which can be used to identify fiber breaks as well as individual fibers within fiber bundles. The 6620 offers laser output at 1,310 and 1,550 nm wavelengths and VCSEL output at 850 nm. The 6615, which measures optical signals at 850, 980, 1,310, and 1,550 nm wavelengths, is designed to measure the power of an optical signal reaching the receiving end of a fiber optic cable generated by a transmitter or light source. The display includes HDMI and DVI inputs with HDCP for digital connections, as well as RGB, component, composite, and S-video inputs. The unit offers picture-in-picture, split-zoom, and twin-picture options, which enable users to simultaneously move, resize, swap, and view up to nine windows. The loudspeaker provides 100 degrees of horizontal coverage, and produces a maximum peak output level of up to 131 dB SPL. The unit has a 70 Hz to 18 kHz operating frequency range. Azden's APS 25b is a battery-powered wireless loudspeaker designed for mobile applications. The loudspeaker offers three options for its two wireless microphone receiver module inputs: VHF (30 channels), UHF (63 switchable channels), and Infrared (two modular wireless microphone inputs). It also includes a wired microphone input and a wired line output for audio sources. For power considerations, the unit offers AC power and a rechargeable battery that enables 6 to 8 hours of operation, according to the company. Hybrid component video cables

Gepco has introduced the RGB62 and RGB644 hybrid component cables, which are designed for commercial AV applications that require distribution of high-resolution component video with audio and power. The RGB62 cables include six miniature coaxial elements with two balanced audio pairs, while the RGB644 cables have six miniature coaxial elements with four balanced audio pairs and four power conductors. All models feature a wireless, two-button pen, which enables users to annotate and edit documents, and also functions as a mouse. The whiteboards are available in USB-wired or Bluetooth wireless configurations for integration with computers, projectors, and data scanners. RSS has released the SI-AES4 AES/EBU input module and the SO-AES4 output module, which are designed to be used with the company's S-4000 modular digital snake. The SI-AES4 input module enables users to combine audio sources such as digital multi-rack recorder used for show playback, samplers, and broadcast video playback decks with analog sources such as microphones. The SO-AES4 output module provides interfacing with AES/EBU-compatible consoles and devices. The Nugget2U high-definition video player from Doremi Labs is a two-rack-unit device that features a removable hot-swap hard drive.
