JVC's EX10 compact home theater system includes a pair of two-way wood cone speakers, each cabinet housing a 3 3/16in. wood cone mid/bass driver and a tweeter with a wood dome, a receiver, and a matching DVD player in a brushed aluminum finish. To provide theater-like audio performance in a small package, the EX10 features JVC's Hybrid Feedback digital amplifier, which generates high-power output with low distortion levels. The system employs JVC's K2 and CC (Compression Compensative) technologies and is bi-amplified with 30W per channel driving the mid/bass speakers and 20W per channel driving the tweeters.

Envision Peripherals' new AOC A42HD84 plasma is equipped with a 42in. widescreen for use in both home and professional settings. The model can be easily wall-mounted or can sit atop an included pair of legs for presentations, videoconferencing, signage, and home theater entertainment. It features 1024×768 resolution, 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 160°×160° (H×V) viewing angle, and built-in 10W total speakers. The plasma display panel features a dual-NTSC/ATSC tuner for cable and digital broadcasts, and multiple RGB graphic and video inputs that allow direct computer hookups to various multimedia sources, such as cable or a satellite set-top box, DVD player, game console, or digital video camera.

Niles Audio's new subwoofer line includes the SW1000, SW300, SW12, and SW10 powered subwoofers. The built-in digital amplifier in the SW1000 is capable of peak output of 1000W (600Wrms). The SW1000 sports a long excursion 10in. carbon-fiber-impregnated paper cone woofer with cast aluminum frame. Control features include high- and low-level inputs with music sense and voltage trigger circuitry. The SW300 is a flexible, high-performance model that uses a larger cabinet and relies on a 300W power amplifier and a 12in. carbon-fiber-impregnated paper cone with butyl rubber surround and cast aluminum frame. The SW10 and SW12 feature a 10in. and 12in. injection-molded TCC (talc, carbon, and ceramic filled) polypropylene woofer with butyl rubber surround for accurate bass response and clean, deep bass tones. The subs' class AB analog amplifier design provides significant dynamic output power — 125W for the SW10 and 260W for the SW12.

CyberLink's PowerDVD 7 provides a home theater experience on a desktop or notebook computer, including advanced features for audio. The player features integrated support for high-definition H.264 playback; five interface modes; new skins and colors; one-click dialogue looping; moveable subtitles; automatically activated time stretching when mobile PCs run low on power; power-saving settings for notebooks and an onscreen battery meter; and access to audio and video files over a UPnP digital home network, ensuring users are ready for the rollout of UPnP media servers. The player's controls have been updated to have a new look.

PSB Speakers' newly redesigned Alpha series includes five new models plus two matching subwoofers. The series includes the Alpha T1 tower, Alpha B1 bookshelf/surround, Alpha C1 center channel, Alpha CLR1 center/bookshelf/surround, and Alpha LR1 bookshelf/surround, plus the SubZero i subwoofer and the SubSeries 5i subwoofer. The entire series is outfitted with a new 3/4in. aluminum dome tweeter with improved frequency response. The new tweeter is equipped with an exclusive phase device and proprietary technology that provides a response exceeding 21kHz. The additional high-frequency bandwidth provides all the new Alpha models with a distinct smoothness through the audible 20kHz range.

JVC's Everio G series GZ-MG505 combines a three-CCD imaging device with an internal 30GB hard disk drive, eliminating the need to carry tapes, discs, or other media. It can record up to seven hours of DVD movie-quality video or more than 10 hours at DVD camcorder quality. The GZ-MG505 weighs a little more than a pound including the battery and lens cap. The camcorder features a 2.7in. widescreen 16:9 LCD that displays native full-resolution 16:9 videos while they are being shot, as well as during playback. In addition, it shoots 2560×1920-pixel JPEGS. A microphone input and accessory shoe provide flexibility to capture sound and attach lighting. The camcorder includes multiple interfaces and high-speed 12x USB 2.0 data transfer.
