Hitachi America has today introduced its new StarBoard FXTRIO-77 interactive whiteboard. Company officials said the new StarBoard is the first interactive whiteboard to enable three individuals to write on the board at once.

Featuring 14 customizable buttons, the FXTRIO-77 is adaptable to the specific needs of users in various environments. Hitachi says. “We developed the FXTRIO-77 for presenters in education and corporate environments who are looking for the greatest ease of use and most robust feature set from an interactive whiteboard,” said John Glad, product manager at Hitachi America, in a statement.

The board features an electronics-free surface for durability and remains fully operational even if there are scratches or dents on the surface space. Users can manipulate the board using their finger, stylus, or optional electronic pen. The company says it can be operated by three users at the same time, allowing students to work together in the classroom or co-presenters to give even more dynamic presentations.

Company officials say the new Hitachi Educator Portal is available to users for uploading and sharing lessons, watching tutorial videos, and obtaining additional teaching resources.
