The new DigitalMedia Card Interface (DMCI) from Crestron is a compact, rack-mountable enclosure designed to house a single DM input card for accepting any AV source signal (including analog, digital, computer, HDMI, DVI, and DisplayPort signals) and outputting it as HDMI.

 

The new DigitalMedia Card Interface (DMCI) from Crestron is a compact, rack-mountable enclosure designed to house a single DM input card for accepting any AV source signal (including analog, digital, computer, HDMI, DVI, and DisplayPort signals) and outputting it as HDMI. Combined with an HD-MD8X1 or HD-MD8X2 QuickSwitch HDMI switcher, the DMCI provides an integrated source-switching solution for home theaters, meeting rooms, and classrooms that incorporate several signal formats that must be displayed in 1080p, says the company. It also manages HDCP, EDID, and CEC data communication, actinging as a DM receiver in a complete DigitalMedia system. Price: $400 (required output card, $1,800?$7,200).
