Corporate Event Marketing Association (CEMA) Features Contest Demonstrating Unique Benefits of Event Marketing Technologies

Showcasing the latest in innovative event marketing technologies, representatives from CVent, Guidebook, Hubb, InVision Communications, JiffleNow and Savoya wowed the Corporate Event Marketing Association's (CEMA) Summit 2016 audience with their ideas that will change the way events are created, marketed and produced. The Innovation Shoot-Out competition, staged as a friendly battle at CEMA Summit 2016, required each of the companies to present an original idea that had not been -or rarely used-within the past year. Summit attendees are provided the opportunity to vote on several criteria to determine the winner.

The Innovation Shoot-Out competition, staged as a friendly battle at CEMA Summit 2016, required each of the companies to present an original idea that had not been -or rarely used-within the past year. Summit attendees are provided the opportunity to vote on several criteria to determine the winner.

“We’re incredibly proud of our CEMA community, which encourages meaningful networking opportunities, the opportunity to share great new ideas and continually expand and grow our expertise in the event marketing world,” said Kimberley Gishler, President and CEO of CEMA. “Each year at CEMA Summit, attendees look forward to our Innovation

Shoot-Out and the chance to cheer on great friends and colleagues while experiencing inventive new approaches to event management. Congratulations to all our participants who presented and encouraged us once again to become even better at what we do.”

This year the Innovation shootout was sponsored by WorldStage, Inc.

“We were thrilled to work with CEMA on reinventing the Innovation Shootout to become one of the great successes of Summit this year. With five proprietary innovations from WorldStage interspersed with presentations from six competing companies, the positive buzz among attendees was palpable and led to some great discussions,” says Richard Steinau, VP Business Development for WorldStage.

Kudos to CEMA Summit 2016’s winner of the Innovation Shoot-Out, InVision Communications!

“We were seeing the growth of technology and anticipated the role it would play in delivering experiences,” said InVision Communications CEO Rod Mickels. “This is the reason for the last two years, we’ve invested resources into the research and development of event technologies that would enhance engagement and the overall experience for our clients’ attendees.”

Next year’s CEMA Summit will be held July 30 – Aug 1, Rancho Bernardo Inn, San Diego, CA
