Biamp Systems Collaborates to Eliminate a Leading Obstacle to Meetings, Shortens Technology Start-up Times

BEAVERTON, Oregon — June 17, 2015 — Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, has announced that the Biamp® TesiraFORTÉ family of digital audio processors easily and quickly connects with the recently introduced Intel® Unite™ solution. Through the quick-connecting USB port, TesiraFORTÉ provides pristine audio in fewer steps so that meetings start on time, when participants are ready. Biamp is also working on a range of connectivity options for different environments, including Biamp-specific Intel Unite plug-ins, as well as options for direct Ethernet AVB/TSN connections.

TesiraFORTÉ consists of eight models (four AVB models and four non-AVB models) with fixed input and output configurations, designed to bring greater simplicity and more options to conferencing, telephony, and VoIP environments.

“Biamp’s passion is to deliver the best possible audio experience, which is critical to productive collaborative spaces,” said Graeme Harrison, executive vice president of marketing for Biamp Systems. “Working together with a company like Intel to offer a solution that easily connects many devices — starting meetings quickly, eliminating technology delays, and delivering a great audio experience — is how unified communications and collaboration is meant to be. We look forward to further developing the integration between our products and Intel Unite software.”

Intel Unite offers businesses an easy and cost-effective way to transform existing conference rooms into modern, connected meeting spaces with enhanced security to help improve collaboration and productivity. Meetings start quickly, connecting on-site and remote participants so they can easily view and interact with shared content in real time.

“We’re pleased to be working with Biamp Systems to offer the Intel Unite solution as part of TesiraFORTÉ, which quickly and easily provides crystal-clear audio to enable better meetings and collaboration experiences,” said Jeremy Nicholes, Intel Unite product marketing manager.
