In this edition, SVC contributing editor Bennett Liles talks with Dave Whittaker of the Hollywood United Methodist Church, a nearly 100-year-old building that has been the site for filming of many blockbuster films including Sister Act and Back to the Future. With help from Platt Design, the antiquated sound system got a substantial upgrade, but the project had to be done without destroying the architectural character of the gothic design inspired by Westminster Abbey.
