Barco and The Concert for New York
At the four-hour concert event in Madison Square Garden, “The Concert for New York,” on October 20, Nocturne Productions and Vidicon provided Barco high-performance display technology. Nocturne and Vidicon provided a 9×36-foot Barco DLite 7 LED screen on stage behind the performers and presenters. The concert was televised, and proceeds from donations during the concert went directly to aid victims of the September 11 attacks and their families.
Projecting the President
Barco was selected by CPR MultiMedia Solutions to provide displays for the Department of Defense Service of Remembrance, held one month after the September 11 attacks. Held at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., the event used two 14×8-foot and two 9×12-foot Barco DLIte LED walls. Also supplying equipment for the event were Nocturne Productions and I-MAG Video.
Barco at IAA 2001
This year’s Internationale Auto Ausstellung in Frankfurt, Germany, featured approximately 3200 square feet of Barco daylight display products. More than 500,000 people attended the 2001 IAA, where automotive companies including Porsche, Mercedes, Saab and Jaguar used Barco displays to showcase the latest models at the exhibition. Close to 2900 square feet of Barco’s total product showing was made up of ILite 6mm products, with the highest resolution of daylight display currently available, guaranteeing images with brightness over 2000 Nits.
