Members of the CEDIA Government Affairs team will participate in the State Government Affairs Council (SGAC)‘s Foundation 2005 Leaders’ Policy Conference (LPC). The conference will be held Nov. 19-22 in Miami Beach, Fla. and will focus on current topics and policy issues facing government leaders and businesses in the United States.

At the conference, CEDIA Government Affairs members will have the opportunity to meet state legislators and discuss the interests of CEDIA members, as well as the current and future use of technology in residential homes. Legislative leaders from throughout the United States, including house speakers and senate presidents, will attend the conference.

The Leaders’ Policy Conference is an annual meeting of states’ legislative leadership and state government affairs professionals from America’s leading businesses, associations, and service providers. The SGAC Foundation sponsors the LPC in cooperation with the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and The Council of State Governments (CSG). The SGAC is the premier national association for multi-state government affairs professionals, who represent more than 120 major U.S. corporations, trade associations, and service providers.

“CEDIA is a member of the 2005 Leaders’ Policy Conference and Planning Committee and has worked with other organizations to develop programming for the 2005 conference,” says Mitchell Klein, CEDIA’s government affairs and public policy chair. “This conference is a terrific opportunity for CEDIA’s government affairs team to continue public policy efforts on behalf of our members and help them and their businesses be successful.”
