Clear-Com Communication Systems has reinforced the built-in flexibility of its V-Series panel technologies with the V-Series Module, a compact control panel with the same intercom capabilities as its rack-mount and desktop display panels.

Adapted to meet the requirements of Ross Video, a manufacturer of products used in live production applications, the V-Series Module is expected to complement existing device modules in the Ross Vision QMD/X family of modular multidefinition production switchers.
The V-Series Module is a six-lever key/10-character display intercom panel with a gooseneck microphone and headset that keeps intercom functionality nearby for operators of Ross Video Vision switchers.
“With the future of virtually all broadcast technologies headed toward increased collaboration and convergence, we expect more manufacturers to follow Ross’s lead in offering solutions that combine several types of production products for maximum productivity and workflow enhancement,” said Simon Browne, senior product manager for Clear-Com, in a statement.
“We believe adding this dedicated intercom control option, along with other controls conveniently fitted for close reach for busy broadcast operators, will grow the value of our Vision QMD/X family in live production,” added David Ross, CEO of Ross Video.
Of the Module’s six lever keys, one is dedicated for answer-reply, with individual mix level control, allowing users to set personal audio levels according to their preferences. The Module also features Listen Again technology, which employs digital audio memory to allow the user to replay 30 seconds of received incoming calls.
