Industry Veteran Joins Leitch as Vice President of Customer Fulfillment

Leitch Technology Corp. (www.leitch.com) has appointed Jim Sakaguchi as vice president of customer fulfillment. Sakaguchi will be based in Toronto, and his key mandate will be to refine and deliver upon the company’s strategies in the areas of manufacturing, purchasing, customer service, order management and quality, and worldwide inventory management.
“This new appointment, combined with recent key sales worldwide, will help to secure Leitch’s first-rate reputation as a company that is flexible and responsive to our customers’ requirements,” says Tim Thorsteinson, Leitch president and chief executive officer. “Jim’s leadership and industry expertise are important enhancements to the company’s operations management team that will translate into superior customer experiences with Leitch now and into the future.”
With a career spanning more than 25 years experience in the areas of customer service and logistics management, Sakaguchi comes to Leitch from Grass Valley/Thomson where he served as vice president of worldwide customer service, quality and information systems. Before joining Grass Valley, Sakaguchi was based in Hong Kong as director of logistics and information systems for Tektronix. His resume also includes worldwide logistics management and information systems development for Apple Computer.
