InfoComm iQ Diversifies Catalog Line

The International Communications Industries Association (ICIA; www.infocomm.org) has expanded its InfoComm iQ catalog and Web marketing services for the professional AV community. Drawing from its experience with the Product Catalog Program launched in 2001, iQ will broaden its catalog offerings to include AV rental, AV staging, and AV integrated solutions service providers.

The online directories are designed to educate buyers on the types of AV services and rental products available and then direct them where to locate listed providers. These new Master Industry catalogs are being promoted on the Internet’s major search engines and strategic Web sites to attract customers seeking AV solutions. Once a prospective client reaches the ICIA Web site, the catalog pinpoints the purchaser’s needs and funnels him or her to the individualized application profile catalogs of specific AV rental, AV staging, and AV integrated solutions service providers in the person’s area, using iQ’s exclusive “Find your nearest provider” functionality.

“These new iQ services now position InfoComm to market all the service elements of the AV industry on the Web,” says John Fuchs, senior vice president of sales, InfoComm iQ. “Our expanded participation in the pay-per-click programs offered by the major search engines means we can now deliver more new business opportunities to more of our members.”

AV Rental Providers
AV rental providers can take advantage of iQ catalog tools to create and publish a rental catalog on their Web sites. This product-oriented catalog will allow rental providers to detail what items they have available for rentals. Prospective customers can view photographs and detailed descriptions of the provider’s products and their capabilities so they can choose the right product for the job at hand.

AV Staging Providers
AV staging providers can showcase their own capabilities with iQ’s staging services catalog as part of their Web sites. Using the Web, pending clients can browse detailed examples of the staging provider’s staging applications—illustrated by descriptive language, photography, and streaming video links—to gain an in-depth understanding of what the staging provider can specifically accomplish for them.

AV Integrators and Independent Consultants
AV integrators and independent consultants can enhance their Web sites using iQ tools wherein they can showcase the types of applications they’re best known for. Visitors can see for themselves project profiles outlined in the service provider’s own words, photos, and links identifying how these integration and design professionals can make the customer’s project come to life on a small or grand scale.
