InFocus Projector Benefits Large Venues

InFocus Corp. has expanded its IN5100 series of projectors with the IN5108 for conference halls, school auditoriums, and stages.

The IN5108 boasts an SXGA+ (1400×1050) native resolution that displays both video and computer images. A range of optical lens capabilities, including horizontal and vertical lens shift, plus four lens options gives installers, administers, and end-users the flexibility to cope with a variety of environments.

Featuring a brightness of 4,000 lumens, the IN5108 offers a relatively low cost of ownership by incorporating a long lamp life and improved asset management with embedded diagnostics and control utilities for remote access via the network, according to the company. The projector also provides HDMI 1.3 digital connectivity, BNC connections, RS-232 control, and a host of legacy connectivity options.

“InFocus knows that a combination of multiple lens options with SXGA+ resolution, lens shift, high brightness, and network connectivity makes the IN5108 the optimal solution for installation applications across the board,” said InFocus integration product director Benjamin Joy, in a statement. “This projection system makes it possible for universities and corporations alike to standardize on a professional platform at a facility- or campuswide level.”

“Our customers demand high resolution SXGA+ displays for their professional applications,” said Vince Cerniglia of Tierney Brothers Audio Visual of Minneapolis, Minn., in a prepared statement. “InFocus continues to deliver the product and service we require.”

The IN5108 is scheduled to be available this month with a starting price of $5,499.
