NOVEMBER 2017:Crestron Electronics 3-Series 4K DigitalMedia Presentation System 350/DMPS3-4K-350-C

This 3-Series 4K DigitalMedia Presentation System from Crestron provides a complete 4K AV presentation control and signal routing solution for boardrooms and classrooms. It integrates the control system, matrix switcher, video scaler, streaming decoder, mic mixer, audio DSP, amplifier, and DigitalMedia distribution center all into a single 3-space rackmount package. It provides signal routing flexibility and high-performance signal processing without the need for separate components. A built-in .AV Framework enables simplified configuration and control without programming. The DMPS3-4K-350-C includes a built-in AirMedia gateway to enable wireless presentation from computers and mobile devices. This optional feature requires activation and a separate license.

NOVEMBER 2017:QSC Q-SYS Next-Generation Eenterprise Core 5200

For large installations or for IT customers wishing to deploy audio, video, and control (AV&C) solutions as a building-wide service throughout the enterprise, QSC partnered with Dell to bring combine the processing capabilities of the Q-SYS realtime operating system with the world-class Dell R730 server platform resulting in an IT-grade AV&C solution. The Core 5200 processor combines commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) server technology with the scalability of a purpose built AV&C real-time operating system (RTOS), thereby offering new scalability and IT integration capabilities. It is fully compatible with all existing and future Q-SYS peripheral devices including I/O-Frame, I/O-8 Flex, PTZ-IP conference cameras, I/O-USB Bridge, native Q-SYS touch screen controllers, paging stations, and network amplifiers. It also leverages a wide variety of networking solutions to integrate with a broad range of networked peripherals from third-party manufacturers.

SEPTEMBER 2017: Shure Axient Digital

The Axient Digital wireless microphone system provides high-performance RF, exceptional audio quality, command and control, and hardware scalability. Axient Digital features two receiver options (dual and quad) that are compatible with its two transmitter offerings, the AD Series and ADX Series. Axient Digital ADX Series transmitters additionally incorporate ShowLink, which provides real-time control of all transmitter parameters along with interference detection and avoidance. The ADX Series also includes the first micro bodypack with an integrated self-tuning antenna, enabling greater concealment and comfort.

SEPTEMBER 2017: BenQ LK970 4K Laser Projector

The LK970 4K UHD BlueCore laser projector from BenQ at 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution and 5,000 ANSI-lumen brightness is designed for large-venue applications, home cinemas, and living rooms with high-ambient lighting conditions. BenQ’s BlueCore Laser technology with TI’s latest DLP chip is complemented by a dual color wheel specifically engineered to project rich, saturated accurate color. For installation flexibility, the LK970 delivers reliable projection from any angle and 20,000 hours of operation. Specialized modes optimize the light source for improved energy use and prolonged projector life that’s ideal for 24/7 applications. Users can choose from three different light source modes to optimize energy use and extend the projector’s life up to 60,000 hours in Eco Mode.

SEPTEMBER 2017: Biamp TesiraLUX

The TesiraLUX IDH-1 is an AVB/TSN enabled video encoder capable of transmitting video signals up to and including 4K60. The IDH-1 functions as a video server-class device in a Tesira media system and is configured through the Tesira configuration software. Acting as an AVB talker, the IDH-1 fully integrates digital audio and video on a single network, allowing for simplified lip sync management and end-to-end network transit latencies of less than 1.5 frames. Multiple software-based options are available for managing bandwidth, including setting maximum resolution, frame rate floor, and/or a rate of compression. The AVB/TSN streams can be transmitted over 1Gb or 10Gb ports while control signals are managed via a separate 1Gb Ethernet port. The IDH-1 accepts 8 channels of PCM audio for embedding/de-embedding, and includes two mic/line level analog inputs. The TesiraLUX IDH-1 can be used as a standalone device (paired with a TesiraLUX OH-1) or can be combined with other Tesira servers, expanders, endpoints, and controllers.

The Maevex 6150 is a plug-and-play quad 4K encoding appliance, offering system independence and eliminating the need for additional encoding equipment. Maevex 6150 users benefit from up to quad 4K/UHD simultaneous streaming and recording, as well as 4:4:4 sub-sampling support—allowing transmission of numerous streams of video and desktop content over 1Gb networks. AUGUST 2017:Sony Electronics Vision Exchange

A present/share system, PEQ-C130 (Vision Exchange) brings together students, lecturers, and presenters in a workgroup-based collaborative environment. Cost-effective, easy to configure and intuitive, this total active learning solution is ideal for colleges and higher education institutions as well as corporate conference rooms. PEQ-C130 (Vision Exchange) lets teams and presenters brainstorm and work collaboratively by sharing each individual’s multimedia content together, even bringing in other participants at remote locations to join the discussion as required and share more seamlessly/effectively. Students or teams can work collaboratively in small independent workgroups or clusters connecting wirelessly to the platform via their own laptops (PC/Mac), tablets or smartphone devices. Information created by workgroups using on-screen annotation tools or whiteboard with digital tags can then be saved as snapshots and downloaded to their connecting device.

JUNE 2017:Draper TecVision CH1200X ALR

TecVision CH1200X ALR is an ambient light-rejecting grey surface. This formulation has an ALR rating of 20, which means 80 percent of ambient light—light not being produced by the projector— is being rejected. CH1200X ALR works best in situations where there is high ambient light and controlled viewing angles. It’s a high-contrast surface with excellent black retention. Since ALR can eat up projector light, the higher 1.2 gain will help brighten the image. CH1200X ALR is 8K ready and ISF certified for color accuracy. It’s also available optically seamless up to 67 feet wide, and as a nanoperfed acoustically transparent solution.

JUNE 2017: Crestron Electronics Single-Channel Modular Power Amplifiers/AMP1200-70

Crestron modular amplifiers are offered in a range of output power levels, with single and dual-channel models available, and with options to address either Lo-Z (4/8 Ω) or Hi-Z (70 or 100 Volt) speaker types. (AMP-1200 models support Hi-Z only.) Each model is housed in either a quarter- or half-width rack-mountable form factor that can be installed individually or ganged together in a single rack space. (AMP-1200 models are half-width.) Every model ships complete with all the hardware required for installation of the unit by itself or in combination with any other unit(s). Rack and surface mount kits are included, so there are no other mounting accessories or rack shelves to purchase.

JUNE 2017: LynTec NPAC

LynTec’s Networkable Power Automation Control (NPAC) rack-mounted system is a complete, ready-to-install power management solution delivering power control and audio sequencing in a single 2RU unit that can manage up to 80 amps. It sequences on/off complex digital audio systems in easy-to-program extended step rates that provide proper component boot-up automatically. As the latest addition to LynTec’s range of electrical power control solutions, the NPAC series is the company’s first rack mount form factor that’s pre-terminated for easy installation and provides critical protection and control for a range of applications. JUNE 2017: EliteProAV Saker Tab-Tension ALR

EliteProAV’s Saker Tab-Tension ALR is 1.5 gain ambient light rejecting (ALR) projector screen that comes in Elite’s Saker electric “roll-up” configuration. ALR projection screens enhance picture quality with brighter imagery and more defined contrast levels. However, its greatest value comes from its ability to counter the “wash out” effect of ambient light. The material is also ISF certified for its ability to achieve D65 color neutrality, superb contrast and dynamic range. JULY 2017:FSR Wire Marshall

FSR’s WM-CMPT “Wire Marshall” is a complete solution for tying the company’s table boxes to its full line of floor box and poke-thru solutions. The WM-CMPT system consists of the WM-UTC Under Table Channel for dressing cables horizontally along the table underside, and the WM-CP Cable Pathway, a solution for handling multiple low-voltage AV/data and AC cables from the table’s underside to the floor. The WM-LC Leg Channel is also available for dressing cables along the backside of a round table leg. The Wire Marshall system provides for clean and elegant cable management in table designs that lack a pedestal for hiding cables and power as they transition from the table boxes to the floor.

MAY 2017:Yamaha NEXO GEO Line Array

This efficient large array system is designed to provide directivity control in all frequencies. The GEO D System is the accomplishment of research and development for GEO systems by NEXO over the last 20 years. GEO D10’s 10° vertical dispersion allows a configuration with as little as three cabinets per side, offering excellent cost-effective performance to GEO technology. It also achieves a powerful low-frequency reproduction by combining up to 16 flown or ground-stacked GEO SUB cabinets. Even if it is flown, GEO SUB can control the directivity of LF and VLF (Very Low Frequency) at 38Hz to 300Hz (±3dB).
