Informission Group announces an agreement to acquire Sederta, a companythat designs and markets IEEE 1394/FireWire high-speed communicationsolutions. Informission and Sederta unveiled software developed jointly bythe two companies that provides an IEEE 1394 interface including IP accessthat manufacturers can integrate into their products. The software createsan opening to the market of set-top boxes that will manage telephony,multimedia equipment and Internet connections.
