Innovations in EXPO Education

Change is an integral part of our industry, and often the change is for the better. You will notice a few changes at CEDIA Expo this year that we feel are certainly on the positive side. For educational courses, we are excited to present a much better way to receive your class handouts this year. Instead of having to lug around a bulky 3-ring binder with paper handouts slipping out, CEDIA will provide you with a sleek, simple CD that will contain an electronic copy of all the Expo handouts. Don’t worry, you will still be given notebooks and pens during your classes, so you can take as many notes as you like.

Class Notes on CD-ROM

Your CD will be shipped to you a few weeks after Expo, and will include clips from the keynote speaker, the show-floor opening and other Expo events. You will need to have a password to access each of your class files, and that password will be given to you on the ticket you receive at Expo registration for each course. This year, you must keep your class ticket instead of surrendering it to gain admission to your class.

Self-Service Certification

This year, in order to receive the certificate that documents the classes you attend, you must print it out yourself at Expo. There will be many kiosks where you can do this. CEDIA won’t be mailing certificates to you, nor will it present them to you on site. Instructions will be given, so you’ll know what to do at the kiosks; and once you print out your certification, you’ll be good to go.
