Smart Technologies (www.smarttech.com) installed Smart Board interactive white boards in every school in Bellevue School District, Washington, to help teachers save administrative time and enhance lesson delivery for improved student outcomes.

California’s Pechanga Resort and Casino, owned and operated by the Pechanga Native American Indian Tribe in Temecula, recently overhauled the audio system in its Showroom Theater with the addition of a new L-Acoustics (www.l-acoustics-us.com) V-DOSC concert system. The system design and installation was a collaborative effort between Muzak’s Riverside-based systems division and AMT Systems of Santa Clarita.

Toronto-based Dome Productions (www.domeproductions.com) has purchased Miranda Technologies (www.miranda.com) systems for installation in Majestic, an HDTV mobile production unit to be built and operated out of Canada.

American Cinema Advertising Network will supply UltraStar Cinemas of San Diego with Digital Projection (www.digitalprojection.co.uk) Cinema projectors featuring Texas Instruments DLP Cinema technology.

New Zealand’s SkyCity Auckland recently took delivery of a new background music system supplied by Jands Electronics (NZ). The system is based around three BSS (www.bss.co.uk) Soundweb 9088MM DSP network devices, along with a 9008 output expander and a 9000 hub, as well as three 9010 Jellyfish remotes. Amplification is provided by 13 Crown CTs 2000 amplifiers equipped with PIP Lite modules and running Crown IQ software.

PFF Bank and Trust, a subsidiary of PFF Bancorp, is exploring a customer marketing strategy based on digital signage. Starting in May, PFF Bank and Trust is testing digital signage in a dozen Southern California branches. The bank will deploy Clarity Visual System’s (www.clarityvisual.com) 40-inch LCD Bobcat displays as well as 38-inch rear-projection Leopard displays with content development and management services by Clarity partner MarketForward (www.marketforward.com) as a system for promoting its products and services to branch customers.
