Pelco, which makes video surveillance and security systems, announced that it has joined the Cisco Technology Developer Program in the Industrial Wireless Solution category. Additionally, Pelco’s Spectra IV IP and IP110 Series cameras successfully passed the series of tests necessary to be considered interoperable with the Cisco 1520 Mesh Access Point.
The Cisco Technology Developer Program partners Cisco with third-party developers of hardware and software to deliver tested, interoperable solutions to joint customers. According to the company, members of the program are required to undergo interoperability testing based on criteria set forth by Cisco. Interoperability testing is designed to simulate typical customer configurations, and does not replace the need for on-site testing in conjunction with actual implementation.
Officials says that using Cisco Technology Developer Program offerings, such as the Spectra IV IP and IP110 Series, AV integrators and customers can more quickly deploy a range of Cisco-compatible business applications that can improve the capabilities, performance, and management of their network.
