Register for the 2002 NSCA Systems Integration Expo now at www.nscaexpo.org. Attendees may register for a badge and obtain class tickets for the coming show, scheduled for April 25-27 in Denver’s Colorado Convention Center.

The NSCA Expo will host more than 500 exhibits of video, audio, security, lighting, data networking and more. Several new components have been added in time for the 2002 show. Each new attraction was added to bring increased value to attendees. New Technology Showcases

New Technology Showcases

New features of the 2002 exhibit floor include the technology showcases: The Tele/Data Technology Showcase, sponsored by Cabling Installation & Maintenance and Cabling Contractor; the Stage and Lighting Showcase sponsored by S&VC, Entertainment Design and Lighting Dimensions; and the e-Buildings Technology Showcase, sponsored by Systems Contractor News. Highlighting the industry’s newest trends, leading authorities will deliver presentations on technologies and their applications. “A great learning tool for attendees, these stages are also a premier opportunity for manufacturers,” said Lee Langhorst, NSCA director of sales. “Exhibitors have the chance to discuss their markets and products with a captive audience.”

Thanks to the floor-layout change introduced last year, Langhorst says attendees will see more working products. Forty planned demo rooms will also give attendees hands-on experience with equipment and interaction with the manufacturers.

Business Solutions Pavilion

Returning for the second year is the Business Solutions Pavilion, an area of exhibits devoted to assisting systems contractors in improving their business by ancillary methods. “There are so many resources out there that can help contractors better manage people, projects and finances,” said Chuck Wilson. “The idea was to construct an area devoted to companies that offer these resources.” Featured companies have included the McGraw-Hill Construction Information Group and leading software companies offering enterprise solutions including DoveNet and VidCad among others.

Educational Programming

Many new courses are also planned for 2002, totaling over 400 hours of curriculum divided into beginning, intermediate and advanced levels and spread over eight different tracks: audio, video, convergence, connectivity, security, lighting, business and sales. Pre-Expo education happens April 23-24, and Expo education runs April 25-27. “This year’s course offerings provide a first-class education experience,” said Katie Chism, NSCA director of education. “The new schedule format allows attendees to spend more time with exhibitors and see working technologies on the show floor.”
