Apple has begun to release its own 8K 3D content to the Apple Vision Pro, with its sights set on Major League Soccer fans. The first Apple-produced film, ‘2023 MLS Cup Highlights,’ joins four other titles featuring the same immersive format available through Apple TV. Like the other titles added earlier this year, the MLS-focused content is created with 180-degree 3D 8K recordings that feature spatial audio support.

Earlier this year, Apple commented on the then-upcoming content released in the new format, which it is calling Apple Immersive Video. “…all Apple Vision Pro users can experience the best of the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs with the first-ever sports film captured in Apple Immersive Video,” previewed Apple. “Viewers will feel every heart-pounding moment in 8K 3D with a 180-degree field of view and Spatial Audio that transports them to each match.”
