Amazon Fire TVs are a thing of the past, as the company is shifting its branding to Amazon Ember TVs. The name was first applied to Amazon’s Artline TVs, but it seems that the entire Fire TV lineup is getting a brand overhaul.
With the shift to Ember TVs, Amazon is trying to clear up confusion between its Fire TV TVs and its Fire TV platform.
“As announced earlier this year, Amazon’s full smart TV lineup is becoming Amazon Ember –a family of TVs built around beautiful design and intelligent software,” said Amazon.

The brand refresh is also affecting Amazon’s streaming sticks and media players as they make the switch from the company’s Fire OS to the Linux-based Vega OS, leaving the Android-based platform behind.
