A new report suggests that Sonos is planning to release a follow-up to its Ace headphones. The Ace model marked the company’s first foray into the headphone market in 2024, and a FCC filing first reported by Bloomberg refers to a new product called the Sonos Ace Ultra.
The Sonos Ace Ultra will reportedly feature AI features and support for integration into the broader Sonos home ecosystem. Bloomberg reports that Sonos CEO Tom Conrad is positioning upcoming products as targeting total-home coverage with “conversational computing.” Conrad has also conceded that the launch of the original Ace headphones did not feature enough integration into such an ecosystem.
A September product launch is planned for Sonos, and while it is not confirmed to be for the Ace Ultra, the new FCC filing suggests that the new headphones could arrive as early as next month.
