LG StanbyME 2 Max announced for the U.S.

The StanbyME 2 Max features a bump in display size and resolution compared to previous models

Following its launch in South Korea earlier this year, LG has announced that the StanbyME 2 Max wheeled TV will be available in the U.S. The StanbyME 2 Max features a larger display than previous StanbyME models, and this time sports a 4K resolution.

Like the rest of the StanbyME line, the StanbyME 2 Max’s display is a touchscreen meant for entertainment, this time scaled up to 32 inches. It retains the same cable-free design to compliment its portability, instead functioning completely on battery power. The StanbyME 2 Max supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos with AI Sound Pro through side-firing speakers, and gives owners access to free LG Channels and major streaming services, as well as entertainment modes that take advantage of built-in board games, Let’s Draw, and Mood Maker ambient display features.

LG currently has the StanbyME 2 Max available for pre-order on its website for $1299.99.

The following was originally published April 30, 2026:

LG has apparently seen enough success with its StanbyME portable TV line to continue betting on it. The company has now unveiled the StanbyME 2 Max, featuring a larger 4K display in the same design as previous models, meaning it can be wheeled around from room to room.

Audio is handled via built-in speakers, while LG says its Alpha 8 AI processor optimizes picture and sound quality in real-time. AI upscaling enhances lower-resolution content of the 4K display, with LG claiming improved contrast and color. So far, the StanbyME 2 Max is available only in South Korea, but this was also the case with previous models before they were brought stateside.
