LG and Odeon create world’s first all-LED cinema with Dolby Atmos

New cinema features 200 square meters of LG Miraclass LED screens, each theater equipped with Dolby Atmos.

LG Business Solutions has partnered with Odeon Multicines to open the world’s first fully-LED cinema with Dolby Atmos. Located in the Gran Plaza 2 Shopping Center in Majadahonda, Spain, the movie theater features six LG Miraclass LED screens totaling over 200 sq meters.

All screens are capable of displaying both 2D and 3D content, and all theaters are equipped with LG Multi V climate control systems. LG Miraclass LED screens are configurable from 48 to 300 nits, nearly ten times higher than conventional cinema screens. The LG Miraclass screens contain more than eight million pixels with a pitch of 2.5mm, DCI P3 color accuracy, and can display up to 68.7 million different colors. Additionally, LG claims these next-gen screens are capable of creating deeper blacks and sharper contrast.

Three theaters feature screens sized at 14 sq meters with a seating capacity of 40, while the other three boast 55 sq meter 4K Miraclass screens for an elevated viewing experience for between 60 and 120 people.
