All 3 models will release next month

Samsung’s revamped line of smart monitors has been revealed, along with details on their availability. The 2023 Smart Monitor M8, M7, and M5 will release in June.

The M5 is a the stripped down version, with no integrated mics or pivoting capabilities. A pair of HDMI ports and USB-A ports offer connectivity, and the 1080p display will be available in 27 or 32 inches.

The M7 offers a big step up, with 4K resolution, HDR10 support, and a 300-nit brightness. The ports are upgraded to HDMI 2.0 and USB-C, in addition to the USB-A ports. Also available in 27 or 32 inch models, the M7 will run you $550 or $600, respectively.

Finally, the M8 offers all the features of the M7, and then some. The 4K display is housed in a thinner casing that can tilt, swivel, and rotate 90 degrees into portrait mode. Brightness is increased to 400-nits, and the display includes HDR10+ support. A built-in webcam decreases the amount of external devices you might need, and the display also features an integrated Smart-Things hub. All of the M7’s connectivity options are included, along with a 65W laptop charging port. Finally, built-in far-field mics allow for Alexa and Bixby voice control. The M8 is the most premium option in the line, with a price point of $650 for the 27-inch model, and $700 for the 32 inch option.

All of the 2023 Smart Monitor options have features to rival a smart TV, including Multi View, Bluetooth connectivity to connect smart phones, and smart TV app support. 60Hz refresh rate is standard in all models.
