
Samsung’s revamped line of smart monitors has been revealed, along with details on their availability. The 2023 Smart Monitor M8, M7, and M5 will release in June.
The M5 is a the stripped down version, with no integrated mics or pivoting capabilities. A pair of HDMI ports and USB-A ports offer connectivity, and the 1080p display will be available in 27 or 32 inches.
The M7 offers a big step up, with 4K resolution, HDR10 support, and a 300-nit brightness. The ports are upgraded to HDMI 2.0 and USB-C, in addition to the USB-A ports. Also available in 27 or 32 inch models, the M7 will run you $550 or $600, respectively.

Finally, the M8 offers all the features of the M7, and then some. The 4K display is housed in a thinner casing that can tilt, swivel, and rotate 90 degrees into portrait mode. Brightness is increased to 400-nits, and the display includes HDR10+ support. A built-in webcam decreases the amount of external devices you might need, and the display also features an integrated Smart-Things hub. All of the M7’s connectivity options are included, along with a 65W laptop charging port. Finally, built-in far-field mics allow for Alexa and Bixby voice control. The M8 is the most premium option in the line, with a price point of $650 for the 27-inch model, and $700 for the 32 inch option.
All of the 2023 Smart Monitor options have features to rival a smart TV, including Multi View, Bluetooth connectivity to connect smart phones, and smart TV app support. 60Hz refresh rate is standard in all models.
