Samsung expands self-repair program, adds support for TVs, soundbars, and more

Product owners now have access to parts, tools, and documentation for 2023 The Frame TVs and more

Last week Samsung announced that it is expanding its self-repair initiative by adding more product categories to the program including its recent series of foldables, TVs, and soundbars.

The program expansion is part of Samsung’s partnership with Encompass Supply Chain Solutions, who has been a longstanding parts supplier and distributor for the company. Samsung announcement includes expanded parts and tools availability for products that were already supported, such as Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Product owners will now be able to self-repair phone speakers, SIM trays, and side keys.

New products supported by the program include home entertainment devices, including multiple sizes and models of newer The Frame TVs. The 2023 Freestyle Gen 2 projector is now supported for self-repair, as is a slew of 2023 monitor models. Home audio is no longer left out, either, with several of Samsung’s latest soundbars now listed on the self-repair website. This expansion of the comprehensive repair program includes parts availability, as well as necessary tools and documentation.
