Samsung unveils a battery-powered portable smart TV

The Movingstyle can be carried by its handle when not attached to the included wheeled mount

It would appear that LG’s StanbyME line has make a big enough splash in the market for Samsung to want a piece of the action, as the company has just revealed the Movingstyle. Like the StanbyME, the Movingstyle is a touch-capable, battery-powered smart TV designed to be moved around.

The TV features a 27″ screen running at a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR remastering. An integrated handle makes it easy to move from room to room when it isn’t mounted on the included wheeled stand, drawing more parallels to LG’s line.

In addition to its own smart TV OS, users can cast content from their mobile devices using AirPlay or Google Cast, support for voice via Google Assistant and Samsung’s own Bixby.  Additional specs include a 10W 2-channel audio system with support for Dolby Atmos, two USB ports, an HDMI port, and an integrated 1080p webcam.

While the Movingstyle has only released in South Korea, the company has released the video above, teasing a global launch.
