Earlier this year we reported on Astribot’s reveal of their AI-powered S1 robot, complete with a showcase from the company of the S1 completing some household chores. Astribot has now officially launched the S1, and to celebrate, has released another video featuring 3 minutes of the launch model S1 vacuuming, feeding the cat, making some tea, and much more. The big reveal here is the robot’s lower half, which wasn’t featured in the original video. Instead of a pair of robotic legs, the S1 sports motorized wheels. While this may make stairs out of the question, it looks like the S1 can get around a single-story home just fine. Another feature showed off for the first time is teleoperation via a VR headset, in this case used to play with the aforementioned cat remotely. The Astribot S1 seems designed to take care of domestic chores, so you can spend your time in more meaningful ways.
