The trend of tech companies unveiling their latest and greatest humanoid robots has not yet ceased, with Chinese company Astribot introducing their AI-powered S1 model with an impressive video. Based in Shenzhen, Astribot was founded in 2022, and says that their robot took about a year to develop. Unlike other humanoid robots we’ve seen recently, the S1 appears to be primarily stationary as it completes tasks with remarkable speed and precision. In Astribot’s demo video, the S1 neatly folds clothes, opens glass bottles, slices produce, and stacks cups faster than any human I’ve ever seen.
LG Unveils Advanced New Automated Warehouse Robots
The company claims that the S1 is capable of movements up to 10 meters (about 33 feet) per second, and the demo video makes that easy to believe. Astribot says that it has plans to make the S1 available for purchase later this year, but a price point is unknown as of now.
