Last month, Kramer introduced a new fiber optic transmitter/ receiver pair for ultra reach 4k60 4:2:0 extension over standard HDBaseT 2.0. The pair supports Multi-mode (500m/1640ft) or single-mode (10Km/6.2miles) over any existing fiber infrastructure for extension of USB 2.0, HDMI 2.0, RS-232, IR, and Ethernet. HDCP 1.4 compliant and supports stereo audio embedding/ de-embedding. Kramer claims it delivers a highly secured signal that is characterized as plug and play.
