Tributaries Cable announced the latest in its growing line of AC line protection devices, the T1A. Designed as an upgrade of the T1, the T1A is a single-outlet device providing 540 joules of surge suppression with an added line filtration circuit for clean power. The T1A is engineered with the X3 Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV), providing the most advanced surge suppression available in a consumer product of its size, according to the company. This critical single-outlet device is capable of complying with the latest, most difficult surge-suppression safety rating: UL 1449, Third Edition. Designed to physically cover only one receptacle of a dual-outlet pair, the T1A’s compact size (1 5/8″x2 3/16″x1 1/4″ HxWxD) makes it ideal for protecting subwoofers, garage door openers, sprinkler system timers, espresso makers, or any other types of household electronics that operate with solid-state electronics. The T1A features a blue LED indicator light when plugged into a live outlet, signaling full protection from the connected component. Price: $20
