7thSense R-Series 8

7thSense, an industry-leader in media server, pixel processor and show control technologies, has announced the release of its newest media server product, R-Series 8. R-Series 8 is designed to be a fully flexible mid-range 3U media server, primed to cater to the needs of generative projects and mid-range media-based attractions. R-Series 8 will be on display on the 7thSense stand (#5G110) at ISE 2024, Barcelona, from 30th January to 2nd February.

As the second release in the R-Series from 7thSense, the R-Series 8 hardware promises the flexibility and reliability of 7thSense’s multi-award-winning R-Series 10 hardware, which powers the world-famous Sphere Las Vegas and many other high-profile attractions globally.

Richard Brown, CTO, 7thSense explains, “Our R-Series media server hardware line has gained traction as a dependable and superior performance media serving and generative engine platform since its launch in 2022. We are thrilled to now have R-Series 8 available as part of the line – at a performance specification and price range that makes it ideal for mid-size projects.”

“All of our product offerings, including R-Series 8, are built to support the highest quality video playback, pixel processing, and show control requirements, enabling storytellers worldwide to bring their vision to life.”

In addition to media playback applications, R-Series 8 can run generative engines like Unreal Engine® and Unity®. The hardware also supports ST 2110 and NDI streaming network video, Delta Media Server®, Notch® and TouchDesigner® applications.
