EMERYVILLE, CALIF. –
More than 100 attendees joined Advanced Systems Group (
), a leading West Coast video and film integration firm, in San Francisco on Nov. 20 for its annual workshop, which focused on the growing
landscape. 4K Workflow 2013 included educational seminars from several industry experts, as well as networking opportunities with the presenters, a number of vendors, and other video professionals.
4K Workflow 2013 included five presentations that covered 4K acquisition, on-set color
workflows, 4K broadcast, color finishing, and the challenges of adopting a 4K workflow. Reactions to the free daylong event were positive from attendees. “I found it both informative and useful,” said Dave Drum, director of photography. “Keeping up with the technology is tricky, but your conference gave me a good boost.”
“We were extremely pleased with 4K Workflow 2013. The large turnout really illustrated how important and challenging 4K is to the professional video community,” said Dave Van Hoy, ASG president. “It’s always a pleasure to share industry knowledge through our annual workshop, and we appreciate the support from our sponsors – QLogic, NetApp, AJA Video Systems, and Christie Digital.”
Although the workshop is over, ASG continues to be a 4K resource for attendees, customers, and the industry at large. Its 4K Workflows Web page at
provides information on 4K products and serves as a clearinghouse for current 4K news and commentary.
