FOR-A Announces Rental Program for VFC-7000 Super SloMo HD Camera

Open House and Live Webcast Planned at Midtown Video, Miami

Fort Lee, N.J. –

FOR-A

Corporation of America, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast and professional video industries, announces that its VFC-7000 HD

variable frame rate

(super slow motion) camera will be available on a rental basis from three top audio/visual rental companies, as well as for sale through FOR-A equipment dealers. The companies that will carry the VFC-7000 include: Midtown Video in Miami; VER in Glendale, CA; and Bexel in Burbank.

An open house event—including a live webinar and product demonstration—is planned at Midtown Video on February 16, 2012 at 2:00pm to introduce the VFC-7000. This live event will also be broadcast on Midtown Video’s JTown.tv web channel,

, as an episode of “the .video show, with jesse miller.” This live monthly webcast—which airs on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30pm—is a place where media professionals can see broadcast equipment in action and understand trends forming in the industry.

“This webcast will consist of a feature-rich introduction to the camera, and a live demonstration recording and playing back footage in 700 frames per second,” said Jesse Miller, Chief Technical Officer at Midtown Video. “We shoot in front of a live studio audience and invite our internet viewers to chime in via our chat room, where questions are answered in real time.”

The VFC-7000

slow motion camera

offers high-

speed play-out and recording in HD at variable frame rates from 24 to 700 fps. It features a high-sensitivity CMOS color sensor and electronic high-speed shutter that can operate as fast as 1/200,000 of a second for filming fast-moving events and events and subjects without blur.

“The objective of our rental program is to make the VFC-7000 more readily available to professional video customers, such as sports broadcasters and commercial producers. The rental program makes the camera more accessible, especially by those who need it on a temporary or project basis,” said Pedro Silvestre, sales director for FOR-A Corporation of America. “The VFC-7000 is an ideal complement to the HD broadcast camera packages already available for rent from Midtown Video, VER, and Bexel. These rental company partners will support our marketing efforts by providing VFC-7000 equipment, technical support, and any training new users may require.”
