Denver, Colo. (August 2026) — Apex Technologies will introduce a powerful new way for integrators to demonstrate and sell intuitive home cinema control at CEDIA Expo 2026 (Booth #4415). The latest enhancement to the Apex Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy, is a shareable, fully interactive online demonstration platform that allows dealers and their clients to explore the navigation ease of the user interface in real time from virtually anywhere.
Rather than relying on videos, screenshots, or in-person presentations to communicate how a control system will look and feel, the new browser-based demo puts a fully functional virtual system directly into the hands of prospective customers. Using a smartphone or tablet, clients can experience firsthand how to use the Apex Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy, before a home cinema system is ever installed. They can see first-hand how the intuitive HTML5-based user interface brings control of projectors, processors, lighting, content sources, and video playback together within one streamlined environment. The new capability addresses a longstanding challenge for the custom integration industry: giving homeowners an authentic preview of their future control experience during the sales and design process.
Another advantage: Because the experience is browser-based and shareable, the integrator and homeowner do not need to be in the same location. A dealer can provide a client access to the demo via a QR code, allowing them to explore it independently or walk through the system together remotely.
“For years, our industry has relied primarily on screenshots and videos to show customers what a control system will be like to use, but that isn’t the same as actually experiencing it,” says Ryan Donaher, owner of Apex Technologies. “With the new Apex Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy, interactive demonstration, integrators can put a live interface directly into a customer’s hands before anything is installed. They can try it themselves and immediately understand how intuitive it is. Just as importantly, it gives us a much better way to communicate one of the biggest advantages of the Apex Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy: you don’t need a dedicated programmer to set it up and deploy it.”
The new Apex Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy, demo will be featured alongside the latest advancements to the Apex Power Hub, Powered by Control Envy, at the Apex Technologies ooth #4415) at CEDIA Expo 2026. The Apex Power Hub enhancements include Secure Shareable Web Proxy technology for encrypted remote access to supported device interfaces, expanded network discovery and hardware support, and enhanced remote monitoring and diagnostics.
Together, the Apex Cinema Hub, Powered by Control Envy, and the Apex Power Hub, Powered by Control Envy, reflect Apex’s focus on simplifying two critical areas of high-performance residential entertainment systems: intuitive cinema control and intelligent power and network management.
