Barco visualization boosts efficient collaboration and decision-making at InfoComm “08

InfoComm, Las Vegas (Booth #C2830), June 2008 – Barco, a world leader in advanced digital projection, offers an innovative take at how better visualization can improve collaboration and decision-making. Showcased throughout its entire line of visualization products at InfoComm 2008 is Barco’s new multi-windowing display management software. It is shown in concert with the new 10 megapixel XDC-3000 display system, as well as with other advanced Barco projectors.

Barco’s new multi-windowing software, the XDS Control Center suite, creates a large-screen Windows desktop interface that allows users to display all local and networked sources in multiple windows. Users select these sources quickly through the XDS Control Center, which is also the focal point of the suite’s other applications. Sources are rendered in fully reconfigurable windows, and screen layouts can be saved and recalled for later use. As Barco’s XDS Control Center suite allows mouse and keyboard control of the entire system, it is the most user-friendly display management software on the market.

Users can see XDS Control Center suite in action on Barco’s new XDC-3000 display system. The XDC-3000 is the ultimate in visualization for high-end meeting rooms and boardrooms. Its single-projector, 10 megapixel display canvas allows several ultra-high resolution sources to be compared at the same time, and makes it an excellent choice for life-size videoconferencing. The XDC-3000 consists of Barco’s LX-5 LCoS projector, the award-winning XDS-1000 display management system, and the Barco-engineered superflat high-contrast screen.

Apart from the XDC-3000, the XDS Control Center suite will run on other featured Barco systems, including a curved, two-channel display system with the new active 3D stereo Galaxy NH-12 projectors. Through the Galaxy’s native optimizations for multi-channel projection, a flawless composite image is achieved. In addition, users can view sources simultaneously in real-time, which is an asset for any research and development center or business review team. Conversely, Barco’s compact iD H500 projector delivers the same multi-windowing functionalities for small to medium-sized meeting rooms.

Also on show will be Barco’s LC-5621 flat panel. The LC-5621 features an 8 megapixel QHD resolution on a 56”? diameter LCD display. This allows users to analyze high-resolution data with an unparalleled color and contrast quality, without requiring extensive room modifications. As an added asset, Barco’s LC-5621 boasts an adaptable color temperature, which enables it to preserve optimum image quality in any lighting circumstance.
