BenQ Unveils Award-Winning Education Solutions at ISTE 2014

New Products and Support Programs Allow Schools to Transform Classrooms Easily Into Collaborative, Connected Environments

COSTA MESA, Calif. — June 26, 2014 —

BenQ America Corp.

, an internationally renowned provider of Classroom IQ solutions and the No. 1-selling DLP(R) projector brand in North America(1), today announced its innovative showcase for ISTE 2014. Comprised of award-winning visual display solutions and education-specific initiatives, the company’s connected learning portfolio will include the industry-acclaimed MW853UST ultra short-throw projector and RP700+ interactive flat panel (IFP) display, as well as exciting details on BenQ’s community support programs and new grant initiatives. Held in Atlanta from June 28 to July 1, the event will bring together teachers, technology coordinators, administrators, library media specialists, teacher educators, and policy makers to view and discuss the latest advances in education technology.

“Our showcase at this year’s ISTE represents BenQ’s dedication to empowering technology-driven classrooms with programs and solutions that enrich the overall learning experience,” said Patti Postel, CTS, National Education Sales Manager for BenQ America Corp. “Featuring market changers such as tablet-like touch navigation, dual-screen collaboration, and the new BenQ Cares Education Grant program, schools can now easily create more immersive lessons through a combination of easy-to-use technology and unmatched academic support.”

BenQ’s 70-inch RP700+ interactive flat panel features advanced multitouch technology for extremely receptive tactile navigation — allowing students and educators to easily pan, zoom, and scroll directly on the screen, exactly like a tablet. To increase viewer comfort, the panel also features advanced anti-glare glass to reduce reflection and eliminate any visual noise, in addition to a low blue light mode, which further prevents eye fatigue and stress. Increasing installation convenience via multiplatform compatibility, the RP700+ can be used with Windows(R), Mac(R), Linux(R), and Chrome OS, while EZCast software enables content directly from WiFi(R) — supporting easy notebook connectivity. Other innovations include DisplayNote software for control via handheld devices, ambient light sensors, hotkey operation, and connection options for USB microphones, cameras, and more.

The recent recipient of AV Technology Magazine’s Best of Show Award at InfoComm 2014, BenQ’s ultra short-throw MW853UST projector provides enhanced interactivity to any projection-based classroom. Featuring innovative dual-screen capabilities, two units can easily enlarge projection on any surface, allowing up to four participants to collaborate simultaneously on areas as large as 190 inches using up to four PointWrite(TM) pens or via finger-touch for simple hands-on participation. Easy to set up and install, the auto-calibrated MW853UST also features a wall mount plate integrated directly onto the projector, 3D, PC, and Blu-ray readiness, and double 10W speakers — creating a complete multimedia solution for full-on classroom collaboration.

Using

Colorific(TM)

technology, BenQ projectors deliver accurate, crisp, and long-lasting color — allowing learners to experience up to 1 billion stunning colors on any classroom projection screen. The technology also eliminates light burn or color degradation over extended usage to reduce devices’ total cost of ownership (TCO). To further support learning spaces, BenQ has recently unveiled the “BenQ Cares”

Education Grant

. The new initiative provides discounts to qualifying schools, colleges, and universities for select BenQ interactive touch panel displays.

BenQ’s full line of Classroom IQ solutions and education programs will be showcased in booth 3054 at ISTE 2014. More information on BenQ products is available at
