New Home Speaker System Features Company’s Legendary Power and Sound Quality at an Affordable Price
LAS VEGAS, JANUARY 7, 2014 — Cerwin-Vega!, a Gibson Brand, is pleased to announce the launch of its new SL Series Home Audio System at CES 2014 (Gibson Tent, CP1/Central Plaza). With a choice of six speakers and one subwoofer, the SL Series can be customized to fit any home, office, dorm room or other personal listening environment, to meet a variety of budgets. Options include five-inch bookshelf/satellite and four-way central speakers: one single, one two-way and two three-way standing tower speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer.
Featuring custom high-frequency, soft-dome tweeters for natural sound, high clarity and low distortion, each speaker in the SL Series also has a bass reflex design with tune porting to achieve the iconic Cerwin-Vega! tight and punchy bass response. Available in 10- and 12-inch models, the speakers include large woofer motors that result in maximum excursion for superior low-end definition, and a woofer trim ring that reduces edge diffraction. The floor standing cabinets also feature dual woofer power for extended low-end.

In addition to the standard options, the SL-5M Bookshelf/Satellite Speaker offers an advanced computer modeled waveguide that ensures accurate high-frequency coverage and superb imaging from the relatively small, five-inch speaker design. Like the SL Series speakers, the SL-10S Power Subwoofer has a trim ring to reduce diffraction and large woofer motor for maximum excursion and low-end definition. Additionally, it features a high-power built-in amplifier to drive the 10-inch subwoofer to a superior performance level while keeping the size of the unit small.
All SL Series options are built with an internal bracing system for increased cabinet strength to reduce unwanted resonance noise and five-way binding posts for simple and reliable setup. The eight-ohm impedance makes the SL Series compatible with most amplifiers and receivers.
