Crestron Diamond Programmer Brings Expertise to AGT

James Pope Earns Highest Achievement as Crestron Master Diamond Level Programmer

Kennesaw, Ga. (August 5, 2015) – Applied Global Technologies (AGT), a proven provider of managed and visual collaboration solutions, today announces its team member – James Pope – has earned the elite status of Crestron Diamond Level Master Programmer. Pope achieved the highly regarded status in spring 2015 after completing 12 years of Crestron Master Classes, which provide certified programmers advanced training on Crestron software and hardware. Crestron Master Programmers achieve Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond status depending on the number of classes they attend and exams they pass. Pope’s Diamond status supports AGT’s growing Audio Visual (A/V) Integration practice, which designs, integrates and manages best-in-class collaborative environments for government, commercial and educational entities.

Pope is an audio visual industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the government arena, including a specialization in military-grade Crestron control systems. Pope joined forces with AGT in January 2015 after working together on several high-profile A/V projects – including the design and upgrade of the premier Command and Control Center for the United States federal government. In 2000, Pope was part of the original 12 who formed the Crestron Authorized Independent Programmers (CAIP) program, which is now the Crestron Service Provider (CSP) program. Pope has participated in every Crestron Master Class since they began, earning the status of Silver, Gold, Platinum and now the most elite level, Diamond. Today, Pope provides engineering, programming and field engineering expertise to AGT clients located around the world. He is based in Denver, Colo.

“We congratulate James on his significant achievement with Crestron and are thrilled to have his elite expertise supporting the AGT team,” explains Mark Cray, CEO of AGT. “At AGT, our ultimate goal is to provide our clients and partners with superior service, including top-notch design and integration expertise. James’ Diamond status expands our depth of technical knowledge, taking the company’s audio visual capabilities to the next level.”

“Pope joins an elite group of valued Crestron integrators and partners who have spent years perfecting their skills,” says Rich Sasson, Crestron Global Director of Technical Services. “He has participated in Crestron Master Classes since the very beginning and understands the importance of continued education in the ever-changing technology industry. We are very proud of this achievement, and excited he is now a Crestron Diamond Level Master Programmer.”
