Exertis Broadcast Makes Videon’s Exclusive Video Compute Platform Available for Purchase in the U.S. and Canada

Accelerating its North American business development efforts, Videon has appointed Exertis Broadcast, formerly JB&A Distribution, to serve as its specialist distribution partner in the United States and Canada. The appointment is effective immediately, according to Exertis Broadcast Senior Vice President Jeff Burgess.

“Videon’s video compute platform is a comprehensive, fully integrated system combining advanced video processing with highly flexible computing that brings cloud functionality on-premises in a small form factor,” Burgess said today. “It increases reliability and quality while reducing latency and costs by simplifying workflows. Videon empowers users to create dynamic, real-world solutions that adapt to their changing needs with a platform that allows them to continually innovate and optimize.”

Videon has a 23-year history of delivering cutting-edge video technologies in partnership with industry leaders like Broadcom, Google, Intel, Netflix, Samsung, TeraLogic, and Qualcomm and has played a critical role in innovation around DVD, set-top-boxes, and inflight entertainment.

“Videon’s fully-integrated video compute platform powers new live video workflows by bringing cloud functions to the point of video origin,” Ken Ruck, Vice President of Commercial Operations and Sales at Videon said today. “Delivered as a single unified hardware and software stack, along with a complete set of functions, applications, and development tools, our video compute platform allows customers, partners, system integrators, and developers to build ultra-reliable, low cost, and highly customizable video-centric solutions.”

“We are looking to leverage Exertis Broadcast’s large and growing network of North American broadcast and content production resellers and end-user customers to significantly expand our sales of customized video compute platform systems built around our EdgeCaster and LiveEdge® solutions.”
