Intinor brings GlobalM on board for acquisition on mobile devices

High image quality and low latency for news contribution

Intinor, Sweden’s leading developer of products and solutions for high quality video over the internet, has responded to the ever-increasing demand for on-the-spot news reporting via mobiles by forging a partnership with GlobalM. The new integration will be unveiled at NAB2024 (booth SL2096, Las Vegas Convention Center, 14 – 17 April).

“High image quality and low latency are crucial to any live contribution circuit,” said Peder Boberg, product owner at Intinor. “But for news organisations the most critical factor is to get the story on air, especially given the pressures of the 24 hour news cycle.”

Intinor, a leader in IP connectivity, needed to round out its offering with a simple and ready means of integrating contribution from mobiles. GlobalM with its advanced software-defined video network technology proved the perfect partner, with a solution to this particular challenge ready for integration into the Intinor environment.

“Reliability in operation is absolutely central to our philosophy, so we needed something that was simple to use under pressure,” Boberg said. “The GlobalM technology is proven to be reliable, and it scales naturally without either the app or the network being impacted. The result is a perfect match for what our customers were looking for, and we are happy to extend our product portfolio with this interoperable solution.”

The GlobalM platform readily integrates with cloud services for dynamic scaling, providing an alternative to traditional static gateways while allowing for more flexible and efficient video delivery. This made it an ideal fit for Intinor, and the two technical teams were able to collaborate to tailor and refine it to meet the defined needs.

“This partnership has been a great opportunity for GlobalM,” said Paul Calleja, CEO of GlobalM. “It shows what we can offer as the demand for live streamed content continues to grow. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Intinor, helping them provide more and better services for their customers.”

Intinor systems, based on open standards including SRT, RIST and NDI, are simple to integrate into multi-vendor systems and automated solutions. Find out more on booth SL2096 at NAB2024. GlobalM is co-exhibiting with Matrox Video on booth SL5073.
