BUFFALO GROVE, Illinois – December 2019 – KNIPEX Tools introduced its ACSR (All Aluminum Steel Reinforced) Cable Cutter, the only ratcheting handheld cable cutter on the market capable of cutting through ACSR up to 795 kcmil and AAC (All Aluminum Conductor cable up to 1 1/4″ diameter.
Suitable for one- or two-handed operation, the high leverage of the cable cutter guarantees a simple, accurate cut. The ACSR Cable Cutter features a two-stage ratchet drive and precision-cut and induction-hardened cutting edges for cutting with less handforce.
Other features include a fixed handle with a support area for laying down the pliers while cutting and a locking mechanism with securely closed handles. The ACSR Cable Cutter has an extremely stable, dual-guided rotating blade that can be released mid-cut simply by moving the lever.
